An introductory guide to creating notes and bibliography entries in accordance with the 17th edition of the Chicago Manual of Style (2017).

 

 

NOTES ENTRY — Websites

 

    USED FOR:

  • Citing content published in a website. This is NOT for online books, online magazines, online newspapers, blogs, social media, or streaming video.


    GUIDANCE:

Include the following content in the order given below:

  • Author name(s).
  • Title (or description if no title given) of the website content.
  • Title (or description if no title given) of the website.
  • Owner or sponsor of website.
  • Publication, revision, or review date. If none given, include your date of access.
  • URL.


    EXAMPLES:
