Welcome to Ursuline from your Personal Librarian!

I'm Kathy Fisher, the Assistant Director of the Library and your Personal Librarian for Nursing. I'm part of your support services team at Ursuline - we're here to help you be successful. All Ursuline librarians and staff assist students with all types of questions, but as your Personal Librarian I look forward to working with you one-on-one! Please schedule a time to meet with me or email me at if you need help...

  • choosing and developing a good research topic
  • finding and using scholarly sources for your paper or project
  • understanding citations
  • understanding assignment requirements
  • anything else - if I can't help, I'll direct you to someone who can!

You are not limited to your Personal Librarian, so if you need help with anything please contact the library.

A little bit about me

I was the first person in my family to go to college, and I clearly remember how stressed and overwhelmed I felt sometimes. I gravitated to the library, but the librarians at the large state university I attended were not friendly at all. When I got my Master of Library Science degree, I vowed to be accessible and helpful! I love connecting students with the library's treasure trove of resources. My bachelor's degree was behind me before I found out about all this stuff! I'm determined to make sure you don't miss a thing. ;)
