The Tenth Student Research Symposium

When: Wednesday, April 23, 2025, 6-8pm

Where: Pilla Atrium, Pilla 136, and Pilla 138

Important Dates and Expectations

Dear Student,

We are so pleased that you have chosen to share your research poster with the Ursuline College Community.

IMPORTANT DUE DATES:

  • ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE YOUR PHOTO TAKEN TO PARTICIPATE IN THE STUDENT RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM. Please email Karen Gygli at karen.gygli@ursuline.edu to set up a time during the week of March 31, 2025.
  • March 24, 2025: Application for participation AND abstract (Brief description of your poster). You will receive a confirmation email once submission is complete.
  • April 11, 2025: Posters must be sent electronically to FastSigns® and carbon copied to srs@ursuline.edu by 5:00pm—All posters submitted to Fast Signs will be picked up and paid for by the Student Research Symposium.
  • April 22, 2025: Posters will be on display in the Pilla Atrium after 12:00, on Tuesday on April 22 and all day on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
  • Participating students should report to the Pilla Atrium by 5:30 pm on April 23

The Student Research Symposium will be held 6:00PM – 8:00PM in the  Pilla Atrium on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. You are required to attend if you are a participant.

On the day of the event, you will stand next to your poster and take questions as people walk through. (Mainly but not limited to STEM research—please discuss with your advisor.)

For presentations, you will read your research paper to an audience and take questions for a maximum of 15 minutes at the event. You can use PowerPoint if you wish, but there is no poster. (Mainly but not limited to Humanities research—please discuss with your advisor.)
