Basics of Design

You can find TONS of information on what makes a good infographic. Below are the top six pointers that pop up in some form on most of these lists and suggestions. Make sure you take a look at the example tab which has same places you can go to find examples of infographics. Looking at infographics yourself will give you an idea of what works and what doesn't.

Top 6 Pointers for Good Design

  • Limit your color palette to 3 colors, any more can confuse and distract the eyes.
  • Choose no more than 2 fonts  for consistency and tone
  • Use White Space to create Balance
  • Use Lines to Divide content
  • Use simple Images
  • Size Matters - consider how you are using your space
