APA formatting tip:

Enter your References correctly in Powerpoint by following these steps:

  1. Type or copy & paste your citation into a text box without tabs or extra spaces.
  2. Highlight the citation(s).
  3. Click the pop-out arrow in the lower right corner of the "Paragraph" toolbar.
  4. In the "Indentation" section, use the drop-down option to change "(none)" to "Hanging."
  5. In the box labeled "Before text," change the number to desired setting (usually 0.5").

Your instructor.  Style guides offer just that - guidance. If you aren't sure about a particular point of style or citation even after consulting  authoritative resources, check with your professor.
